Laser Printer Parts - What Are The Parts Of A Laser Printer
Posted by admin | Filed under Computer and Technology
What are the parts of a laser printer? The main laser printer parts are located within the toner cartridge. There is an assembly of many components within the cartridge, and inside a series of chemical, electrical, and mechanical processes takes place. Parts include a primary charge roller or corona wire, photoconductor drum, laser, toner, fuser assembly with rollers, and discharge lamp. It is an electro photographic process which transfers digital information from a computer to images on paper in the laser printing process.
A primary charge roller, or a corona wire in older printers, projects an even electrostatic charge onto the surface of a photoconductor drum. A laser shines onto the photoconductor drum, and creates a chemical reaction. An electrostatic image is developed from discharging the areas that are negatively charged. The printer covers the rotating drum with toner creating text and images. The toner, which is fine particles of dry, plastic powder mixed with black or color, will stick to the places where the drum has an opposite charge and not to the places with the same charge. The letters and images are formed that will be printed on paper.
There is a fuser assembly with rollers which uses heat and pressure to make the ink permanent on the paper. The toner powder melts and fuses with the fibers on the paper making a finished page.
The drum passes a discharge lamp after the toner has been placed on the paper. This bright light erases the electrical image from the photoreceptor.

Cabinet Hardware - Make Sure To Replace The Old With The New
Posted by admin | Filed under Home Improvement
When refurbishing your cabinets, whether it be in the kitchen or bathroom, there is one thing that you need to do in order for the project to be a success? What is it? That one this is purchasing new cabinet hardware, if you don’t, then all that work you went to make things look new again will simply go to waste.
Really, buying new cabinet hardware is really important when refurbishing things because if the new look of your cabinets is not a match to that old hardware of yours, then you are going to have a style mismatch on your hands that will have people wondering if you have any sort of decorative taste.
So, as you can see, it’s important to get new cabinet hardware when refurbishing things and what’s great is that there are actually a lot of style options to choose from. For example, you can get something that has a very modern vibe from it made from stainless steel that has a brushed, smooth finish and comes in sleek shapes. Or, you can get something that is more on the upscale, antique side with a rich oil rubbed finish that may also feature delicate accents. These are just two of the many style options that are available on some of the others include those on the traditional side, some that have a colonial feel, and others that even combine styles.
When purchasing your cabinet hardware, another thing that is really important is to get everything that you need right off the bat. Like, don’t get knobs without getting new hinges, that sort of thing. Along with those, if you have a drawers, you will also need to get drawer pulls and remember to get drawer slides too. Believe it or not, even though they are not seen all that much, people will notice when a drawer opens that they do not match. You can also get back plates to spruce up the look of your hardware and if you want to change up the look of your appliances, just turn to appliance handles.
Cruising In Asia
Posted by admin | Filed under Travel and Leisure
Long known for its spell binding culture, powder white beaches, ancient temples, and exotic cuisine, the continent of Asia has evolved into a must-do on every cruise enthusiast’s list. A cruise though the waters here is dotted by stops at some of the most exciting ports in the world, and this wealth of culture and entertainment choices, combined with the naturally beautiful seascapes is beginning to lure holidaymakers looking to do more than the usual Caribbean circuit.
The south east Asian region of the continent which includes Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Singapore was the first to make its mark as a cruising route full of magical surprises. All these countries have a strong tourism infrastructure in place, and have an unequaled reputation for hospitality, and welcoming the Western visitor. This same warmth and friendliness is evident when you stop off for a spot of shopping in retail crazed Hong Kong, or to gaze in awe at the Reclining Buddha at the Wat Pho in Bangkok. The Maldives, India, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and China have all jumped onto the cruise bandwagon, brushing up port infrastructure and encouraging better private-public sector partnerships to boost the industry further. Although the industry in Asia is nowhere as developed as in the Caribbean, it certainly is growing at a fast pace.
Things to Remember
A typical cruise in this region will last around 10 days or so. Because your point of departure is so far away from home, arrive at your port at least a day before you’re scheduled to leave, so your body has time to adapt to the change in schedule. Many cruise liners will arrange a pre-cruise stay at a hotel for you to rest before your journey. Make sure to brush up on Asian customs and rituals to avoid offending locals when you disembark at a port.
The biggest continent on earth can be overwhelming for the most suave world traveler. A cruise with all the comforts and luxuries it offers is the perfect way to experience the splendors of the continent, without being overpowered by the cultural onslaught that is Asia.

Maybelline Makeup - Is Maybelline Makeup Really That Good?
Posted by admin | Filed under Health and Fitness
Recently, Maybelline have released a heap of new products onto the beauty market that all claim to be the next ‘miracle’ product, but does maybelline makeup really work? Here, we review their top new products and give you the real information for you to make your own mind up.
Mineral Maybelline Makeup
Back in January, they released Mineral Maybelline Makeup. This ‘triple-refined’ mineral makeup promises an ultra smooth finish on your skin that gives your skin a truly luminous glow, but does it work? We put it to the test recently and found that it does deliver a pretty good look for the relatively low cost (normally retails at around $9), it also does indeed leave your skin looking very healthy with subtle shades that help to make it look natural. The only major drawback - and we are giving this to you straight - is that it doesn’t seem to work for oily skin, the effects on oily skin were less than effective and if you are one of these skin types then we strongly recommend you look into other products, otherwise your oily skin will just end up looking even oilier, don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Pure Makeup
This then brings us on to the ‘Pure’ range of Maybelline makeup, which offers a foundation range that should feel light on your face and blend into your natural skin tones and colour to give a truly natural look. When we tested this product, we found that it actually delivered some high quality results and the makeup looked very smooth and completely natural. Two major factors that make this product even better are that it is highly cost effective and you don’t need that much to get good skin coverage - this really is a good product for both quality and value.
Hair Extension Application
Posted by admin | Filed under Health and Fitness
We all want a change of style every now and again and one of the main ways that we do this is by changing the style of our hair. The most popular way it seems of doing this recently is by having hair extensions applied. Hair extensions have blossomed enormously in popularity in the past few years and it now seems that everyone is deciding to get some but just how do you know which ones are right for you?
There are many ways in which hair extensions can be applied and most of those methods require the help of a stylist; however there are a few methods of application that can be performed by you at home.
Examples of some of the hair extensions that can be applied by you at home include bonding. The hair extension method of application in the form of bonding is the easiest method of application. The bonding glue is applied onto the weft of the extension and they are applied at the root of your hair. Although you can have your hair extensions applied via this method in a salon you are also free to do it yourself at home after purchasing the correct equipment to do so.
Other methods of application include the following:
Weaving
With this process a corn row/track is created around the head and placed close to the scalp the extensions are then sown onto the track and your own hair layers over for a natural look.
Fusion, Strand by Strand, or Pre-Tipped Hair
If you have your extensions applied in this method the process is done in a strand by strand method using small sections of hair each time. They are applied using heated adhesive sticks and glue guns, which are especially for hair extensions; the extension hair is then added directly to your own hair. The extension hair can be brought already cut, weft removed and pre tipped with adhesive, a purging tool is used to warm the adhesive and apply it to your hair. Your hair then lies over the top for a natural look.
Bicycle Rickshaws In London - 7 Top Tips
Posted by admin | Filed under Travel and Leisure
Bicycle rickshaws or pedicabs have become a popular and fun way of traveling around the West End, Soho and central areas of London. They are a fun way of traveling to a hotel or restaurant after an evening at a West End theater. London rickshaws are not licensed or regulated so just how safe are they? I’m going to give you seven top tips to make sure your rickshaw journey is a safe and a happy one.
- * Three medium sized adults are a snug fit in a rickshaw, two are ideal. If there are four in your party use a second rickshaw. In tests rickshaws proved to be least stable turning corners when they had only one passenger or were overloaded.
* Use a rickshaw for fairly short distances not instead of the tube. Think of them as a fun alternative to walking rather than as public transport. Rickshaws are safest within the West End, Soho and Central London areas where traffic speeds rarely exceed 20 miles an hour.
* Check that your rickshaw is owned by one of the major companies. Their logos are clearly visible on the cabs and often the drivers wear distinctive t-shirts. Names to look for include BugBugs, In Wheels We Trust and The London Rickshaw Company. All of these carry insurance and provide training for their drivers as part of their Voluntary Code of Practice.
* Look to see that your driver is wearing a visible name badge. These are also covered by the Code of Practice. It is important to know who your driver is just in case. Make sure your driver knows and understands exactly where you want to go before you set off. You cannot expect the same level of knowledge from them as you would from a London cabbie. You may need to practice your language skills as many of the drivers are foreign language students.
Gift Giving Tips

When giving a gift why not take the extra time to make it really special? It is after all a reflection of you and unfortunately poor first impressions have the habit of sticking!
There are many ways in which you can take an ordinary gift and make it extraordinary but let’s face facts if you really give some thought to the person for whom you are actually buying the gift for in the first place then it should not even come close to being ordinary. In other words start by purchasing an extraordinary gift and then present it in a way that makes it simply remarkable.
Now an extraordinary gift doesn’t mean extravagant in cost, so please don’t make the mistake of thinking that spending big dollars shows taste and thoughtfulness, because in my opinion it could not be further from the truth. Have you ever heard the saying ‘It’s the little things that mean a lot’?
Before even taking the first step towards the shops, Internet or to making that phone call to a Vendor, take some time to really think about the person that will be receiving your gift. Ask yourself these questions about them (remember it isn’t about what you like, because the gift isn’t for you!):
1/ What are their hobbies/interests?
2/ What do they do for a living?
3/ What age are they?
4/ What four words would you choose to describe their personality?
5/ Do you know their favourite colour/colours?
6/ How do you know them and what do they mean to you?
Write down your answers and look over them and before you know it I’m sure you will be flooded with ideas that are thoughtful and appropriate for the person to whom you are giving the gift.
Now that you are armed and ready to get that extraordinary gift, let’s talk about presentation. Again you can refer to your answers of the above questions to get a picture in your mind of what kind of packaging might suit your gift. When it comes to wrapping a gift it is always fun to think a little bit outside the square and it is a good way of ensuring that your gift will be long remembered and talked about.
